Mowing, Edging/Trimming, Blow Clippings: We will mow turf areas as needed according to seasonal growth. No more than 1/3 of the leaf blades should be removed per mowing. Cutting your lawn too short makes it vulnerable to disease and insects. Mowing will be with a (mulching) mower. Mower blades will be sharp at all times to provide a quality cut. Grass Clippings are Fertilizer Discharging or mulching puts the clippings right back to the soil where they will break down and feed the lawn.

We will edge tree rings, plant beds, sidewalks, fences, driveways, parking lots, and other surfaced areas bordered by grass will be edged every other mowing during the growing season. Turf around sprinkler heads will be trimmed.

We will blow clean all clippings from sidewalks, curbs, and roadways immediately after mowing and/or edging. We will not sweep, blow or otherwise dispose of clippings in sewer drains.

Don't Over Water: Only water your lawn in the early to mid morning. Watering in the evening creates a good environment for fungus. Most grasses only need one inch of water per week. Over watering opens the lawn to disease and fungus which will make the lawn look water starved. If you see brown patches and you have been watering, you may need to apply a fungicide and reduce the amount of watering time.

Considerations for Optional Services: Mulching: All mulched areas should be replenished once a year during the winter months (Nov. - Feb.). Mulch should be maintained at a depth of 3 inches. All curb, roadway and bed edges will be trenched to help contain the applied mulch.
